DESCRIPTION
ReactaCure 1210 is a cream coloured, brushable, general purpose contact adhesive. It exhibits excellent adhesion to most surfaces and has good heat resistance. Bonds may be made over a wide range of open times because of its fast flash off and long open time.
'Non-soak-in' properties make it particularly suitable for edge bonding.
1210 is used extensively for automotive trim application, bonding decorative laminates to wood and wood composites in the kitchen furniture industry, and generally for bonding plastics (not expanded polystyrene or plasticised PVC), metals, leather, rubbers and urethane foams.

APPLICATION
Stir adhesive before use and make sure that surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dust and grease. Condition materials to be bonded (particularly wood composites and decorative laminates) in the bonding environment overnight.
Apply a thin even coat of adhesive to both surfaces using a short, stiff brush. When surfaces become 'touch dry' (i.e. adhesive is glossy and no longer transfers to the knuckles) align the bond edges and bond under maximum pressure. For the best results, laminates should be nip rolled or platen pressed. If this is not possible use a hard roller and go over the entire working surface using as much bodyweight as possible. Seams and edges should always receive extra pressure. If possible sandwich the panel edge between wooden battens and use G-clamps.
The newly bonded material should not be subjected to extreme temperature changes for 3 to 4 days after bonding and avoid further fabrication until the adhesive has fully cured.
